Junior Year

Conceptual Physics Exam

Outcomes:
Science 5: Synthesis of Science 0-4
Physics 3.2: Equilibrium and Forces
Physics 2b.1: Explanation of 2D Motion

This exam shows my growth throughout the semester in conceptual physics. This was a final exam that focused on all of the units in the semester. I felt very prepared for this exam having studied a lot, and I understood all of the material. My strengths in this class were that I completed very single homework assignment and worked very diligently on labs.

American Conflict Communism Propaganda Poster

Outcomes:
Critical Thinking: The ability to make connections, ask questions, analyze and evaluate information.
Preparation 1.2: Completes all aspects of task
Social Studies 4.5: Create political cartoons and/or propaganda for connection and purpose.
Writing 4A: Make choices about genre that are reflected in ideas and development

This poster was really fun to make because I got to incorporate a lot of artistic skills with the content that I was learning. This poster was about communism, and I made it after I learned the affects that communism had all over the world from 1918-1950s. My strengths were that I was able to clearly depict the affect communism had on the public. If I had more time to complete this poster I would've discussed more in-depth the global impact of the red scare.

Beauty in Chaos Kinetic Sculpture
Outcomes:
Critical Thinking: The ability to make connections, ask questions, analyze and evaluate information. The ability to articulate and revise learning processes. Demonstrates student-based project planning.
Math Reasoning: I can use logical mathematical reasoning and work within mathematical concepts.
Preparation 1.1: Have all materials completed and prepared for class.

This project was one of my favorite projects that I've ever had at FMHS. In this class, we observed the mathematical connections found in art. This kinetic sculpture is a sine wave replicator, that moves in accordance to the point at which the wheel is spun. Although it took a very long time to make, it turned out to look really cool and successfully showed how a sine wave moves, similar to how a phasor works.
